Actress Keira Knightley who starred in such films as Pirates of the Caribbean, Atonement, and Pride and Prejudice, will be starring as the titular character in Anna Karenina.

Anna Karnina is based on a novel of the same name written by Leo Tolstoy that was originally published in 1878. This film will mark the 13^thfilm adaption of the book, as director Joe Wright’s bold, new romantic drama adaptation of the epic story of forbidden love set in 1874 Imperial Russia, looks to finally capture the spirit of the book and give fans truly a remarkable adaption that will finally satisfy all as previous film adaptions have always seemed to miss its mark.

Joe Wright and Kiera have collaborated before and this time they look to really make something that could be remarkable.   

Recently Knightly has spoken with both Collider and EW about the film, working with Chris Pine and Kenneth Branagh on Jack Ryan and her small tits.

Here’s what she had to say:

Collider:  Will you be going away from period pieces with your next projects?

Keira Knightley:  I’ve just done two contemporary pieces, but no, it’s all about story.  It’s not about when it’s set or where it’s set.  I like period.  I like fantasy as a dramatic tool.  I think it’s a really great dramatic tool because it means that you leave yourself behind.  Your imagination is required instantly in a period film, because it’s a world that you don’t know with rules you don’t know.  I think I certainly relate to characters on an emotional level very differently in period pieces or sci-fi pieces or fantasy pieces, than I do in pieces that are more voyeuristic and present us with the world that we know.  I think that’s a very different relationship with the story.  So I think that’s why I enjoy doing period things.  It’s that tool that I really enjoy.

C: Can you talk about working on Jack Ryan and how that’s going?

Knightley:  Yes, Jack Ryan.  I got to the end of Anna Karenina and realized that I’d been sort of doing pieces of work that were incredibly dark and I pretty much died in a lot of them for five years.  I wanted this year to be the year of positivity and pure entertainment.  So, I did one film called Can a Song Save Your Life? which is about friendship and making an album and possibilities.  And, Jack Ryan is a really great, old school, Hollywood thriller and a piece of pure entertainment, and hopefully it will be that.

C: Are you still filming?

Knightley:  I’m currently shooting it in London.  I’m nearly at the end of it.  I think we finish early December

In this month’s Allure magazine, Keira Knightley explains that she’s “quite rigorous” about which parts of her body she’ll bare onscreen. Specifically: “No bottom half! I don’t mind exposing my tits because they’re so small — people really aren’t that interested!”

The Oscar nominee also laments the dramatic photo-shopping her chest is often subjected to on movie posters and in ads: “For King Arthur, for a poster, they gave me these really strange droopy t-ts … I thought, well if you’re going to make me fantasy breasts, at least make perky breasts.”

The Anna Karenina star also speaks out about the hurtful rumors that she had an eating disorder in 2007 — “I knew I wasn’t anorexic, but maybe my body is somehow not right. Or my face is not right. Or the way I speak is not right. When you’re going through a period where you’re really getting a lot of criticism, you go, Maybe all this is right!”

UPDATE: THE BOX-SET WILL BECOMING ON APRIL 2nd

The original Marvel Phase One box was originally set to be released on September 25^th however it was delayed due to a lawsuit over the packaging it was to be shipped in. Now it looks like the set will be ready for release in it's new case on April 2, EW has reported.

EW has also learned that the set will include some teases for the upcoming Marvel Phase Two. Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige said it will include "footage, concept art, and a few new surprises" from Phase Two. Phase Two of Marvel's cinematic universe includes Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Avengers 2. "Also, look for a nod to Iron Man 3 in the Tony Stark S.H.I.E.L.D. file in the box set," teased Feige.

The box set will also include deleted scenes not found on previous Blu-ray releases, like the alternate ending to Thor (which you can see below). "We went back to the editor's assembly of each film and discovered some rare moments that dropped out of the films early on and had not been released on prior discs," said Feige.

The Phase One box set will include ten discs featuring six movies, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, and Marvel's The Avengers. The set will now be enclosed in a new case but will still feature the 'working' Tesseract cube and S.H.I.E.L.D. files on most of the characters.

Dredd has recently released in the UK and US, to quite the praise from many critics and fans alike. The film is being deemed as one of the best reboot films ever, and fans have been more then pleased with the film. Recently IGN, managed to speak to the screenwriter Alex Garland about the film. Below you can also check out a video interview with Garland speaking to The Hollywood Reporter.

IGN: What does Judge Dredd mean to you?

Alex Garland: He means a lot. I started reading it when I was 10. I grew up with Judge Dredd. I think the comic books were a big influence on my writing and on my work. I think I rip them off without ever meaning to or knowing I'm doing it. I realize it later. I'm just a big fan. When I got the chance to make this film I jumped at it because it gave me a chance to re-access the reason I'd fallen in love with that character and world in the first place. I hope we did it some kind of justice – it was a tricky film. But I'm proud of it.

IGN: What was it like watching the finished film with an audience?

Garland: I've never seen it with an audience. When it's screening for an audience, I leave. It's not a pleasant process for me.

IGN: What did Judge Dredd creator John Wagner think of the finished film?

Garland: He likes it. I got John involved with the film at a very early stage. He was actually in a way the first person that was contracted by the film. Out of the entire cast and crew, the first person on the pay-roll as it were, was John. He was there as someone who understood the character and the world better than anyone. And could make sure we were doing it properly. So I would show John all the different cuts, and all the different versions of the script. Then, when we were editing, I showed him the film at different key intervals just to get his input. While there was still time to listen to his advice and act on it.

IGN: Were you proud to have made an 18-rated movie that went to the top of the charts in the UK? That doesn't happen often.

Garland: Well briefly.

IGN: But it still counts.

Garland: Well being honest, if you're a film guy, it doesn't count. It doesn't really count. I work from the point-of-view of someone who works in the British independent film scene. That's my perspective. If you approach this from the point-of-view of a financier, you've got a different perspective. The fact that number one was briefly attained by Dredd – I'm not sure that matters very much. They look at the bottom line. And what they will say, I suspect - and I'm not talking about our distributor, I'm talking about distributers in general - is that it makes more sense to make a PG-13 than an 18. Because it's simply true that more people would have gone to see Dredd if it had been a PG-13.

 It also would have been a different movie, and it wouldn't have been a movie I'd have been interested in making. But that's because I'm thinking about it as someone who doesn't have to bear the brunt of the financial consequences. So will it make difference? I suspect not. It may even be harmful.

IGN: If a sequel were to be green-lit, where do you see this story going from here?

Garland: I've got all sorts of things that I'd like to do with it. It's a financial equation. I'm not expecting to work on a sequel. I'm mainly just concerned with this film and hoping that we did it right and that people like it and get something out of it.

IGN: But if you were to be given a bigger budget, what aspect of the Dredd universe would you like to bring to life?

Garland: Outside Mega City One there's this huge desert called The Radiated Desert and I'd like the second story to go out there as a sort of voyage of discovery of the world. It would loosely be based on a John Wagner story called Origins, which is about Dredd going into how he came to be and how the city came to be. And how the two things are connected to each other. Then in the third one, If there was a third one, I'd think about these characters called The Dark Judges, who are these malevolent supernatural forces. Who are kind of a perversion of the judge system, holding a kind of dark mirror up to it. But it's so speculative to talk in these terms, but those are the lines on which I'm thinking of this.

The post credit scene gave audiences a glimpse of the villain Thanos, which for Marvel fans just meant that Phase Two would certainly be exciting. For General audiences who don’t know that much tabout this character who is arguably one Marvel’s biggest characters ever, they certainly in for a treat.

However, these past few months’ fans have been contemplating how Marvel would be using the villain. While the logic move would be to introduce the character in Guardians of the Galaxy and have him go toe to toe with the Avengers in their sequel. Some fans believed that Thanos could even be kept for a possible third Avengers film, bringing Phase Three to a close. While others have said that he might be a feature in Thor: The Dark World as the god of Thunder has quite a few direct nods to the villain in his own adventures.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige finally decided to give us a little hint on how the character would be used in the MCU.  He recently spoke a bit about the studio’s plans for Thanos and how that factors in to not only Phase Two, but also Phase Three, and he addressed the possibility of recasting the role.  Hit the jump for more.

Speaking with MTV, Feige admitted that they were aware most of the Avengers moviegoers would be puzzled by the Thanos tease, but they loved the idea of sending audiences out of the theater talking about what they just saw:

“There’s a great track record now about lobbing something in at the last moment to get the audience buzzing. Particularly when it came to Thanos, [we knew] that most people in that audience had no idea who that purple guy was — but they could clearly tell he was important, and knew if they asked the two or three people sitting next to them, somebody would know who he was.”

Though the tease made for one hell of a conversation starter, that tag wasn’t thrown into the film for nothing:

“Clearly, there’s a purpose to us putting him in the end of that movie. We do have plans for him. I wouldn’t say we ever feel the need to rush anything one way or the other. We succeeded in Phase One because we stuck to our guns and stuck to the plan. That plan took place over many, many years and it ultimately paid off. I see Phase Two unfolding in the same way of us taking our time, us doing what’s right for each individual movie, while folding in elements that will not only build up to the culmination of Phase Two, but even Phase Three.”

In other words, Thanos will probably not be showing up in any other Marvel film like, Iron Man 3 or Thor: TDW. Though Whedon and Marvel cast actor/stuntman Damion Poitier to portray the baddie at the end of The Avengers, Feige admits that they’ll probably recast the role when he reappears:

“I think we feel pretty free to recast. That was cast for literally that one shot. Depending on what the role requires from future movies, we’ll go from there.”

HULK'S RETURN

Now many for many Hulk fans out there, its quite clear that there is no Hulk film, scheduled for the near future. This is kind of a disappointment as many of us do want to see the big green monster rampage his way through the big screen one more time. However, seeing as the Hulk hasn’t had the most successful run on the big screen on two solo films, and one very successful appearance in the team franchise film the Avengers, it would seem the Hulk’s natural place would be part of a team franchise.

In a recent interview with MTV, Feige spoke at length about a potential The Avengers 2 follow-up featuring the Hulk.  The Planet Hulk and World War Hulk stories are a bit out there for casual moviegoers, so are they properties that Marvel would even want to attempt?  As Feige says:

“I don’t think there’s a lot that we couldn’t do someday, as the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe.”

Feige also admitted that the space-centric plot of Planet Hulk does come with its own caveats:

“‘Planet Hulk’ is a cool story. ‘World War Hulk’ is a cool story.  I think there are pitfalls of continuity-overload, and mythology getting so dense that it almost collapses in on itself.  It happens every few decades or so in the comics. Apart from that, I’d say everything is on the table.”

Regarding the timing on the next Hulk feature, Feige unfortunately confirmed that we won’t see Mr. Green for quite some time:

“Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in ‘Avengers’? I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until ‘Avengers 2.’ So there’s a lot of time to think about it.”

Speaking of The Avengers, Feige comments on what made the Hulk work in the superhero team-up film:

“Part of what’s fun about the way we played him in ‘Avengers’ is the ensemble quality of it. I think the pathos and humor, most importantly, that Mark and Joss brought to it showcased a different element of Hulk that’s there in the comics, and was always inherent in his character. But when he was so brooding in his other two films, he didn’t get to have that wry sense of humor that Mark did such an amazing job performing.”

I for one would love to see a Planet Hulk film that would be amazing to see. We know the Hulk left the Avengers pretty soon after the team’s conception, so having him in Avengers 2 and then possibly pull him out of the team could be something that Marvel could be looking at. As the Avengers decide to ship the Hulk out to space after he causes too much destruction, so maybe that’s how they could carry the story forward.

With a Planet Hulk film soon to follow, the story would surprise a lot of people essentially as it could be visually stunning with a story that focuses more on Hulk then Bruce Banner. But then again that could hold the film back, has the film would have to be 95% Hulk, and 5% Bruce Banner, will Marvel take that risk having a film with primarily a CG lead? We will have to wait and see, but one thing is sure, Marvel’s ambition isn’t limited and we sure whatever route they take it will be awesome!
